Yes it's the latest but R1BC002 is better because there are more patches and moddings available for that version.
for flash wallpaper in my opinion although flash wallpaers are good but R1L002 is one of the bugiest firmware! :D

@phil... which version of XS++ you using?
I converted my k750 CID49 to w800 today using XS++ v1.5 and i had sort of a similar problem but only the flash was going through but then it would freeze at "finishing flash", what i did was first flash the w800 Main firmware and when it gets to finishing flash i left it there for a few minutes to ensure it had completed the flash of Main, then i had 2 flash FS without customizing, and once again it froze at "finishing flash" so i left it for a few minutes to ensure it had finished flashing the FS and then hit close, then i had to start up XS again for a 3rd time to customize (this part went smooth), but all in all it done a great job on my 1 hour old phone hehe still has a total call time of "0"...

PS: Make sure your using the correct files, if its a CID49 you will need to run them through GSlide first which can be found here in the download section ;)
I also had to customize using the "own_custpack" when ever i chose the custpack for europe 2 thats built into XS++ windows xp spit out an error saying XS encountered an unexpected error and need to shut down, but custpack also found in the download section :)

If your phone is CID36 i surgest you use "GFlash" as its alot easier to flash a CID36 and can all be done in one stage ;) stick in your MAIN+FS choose your CDA and hit flash and 10 minutes later you'll have your converted phone, but GFlash is CID36 ONLY...
