S.E w900i pretty slow

the phone scans memory contens the more files you have the slower the phone. file size is not important but number of files is (1000+)

Maybe there is running application was not end yet, quit all running application before you start a new one.

Could also be affected by the size of card you have in it. I have the W580i and it's designed for up to 2GB sticks, I've heard that it will still run with a 4GB stick but it slows the phone down a great deal. So if your memory stick is bigger than the phone was designed for, that could slow it down a lot. Other than that, I'd suggest the same as most other people, try to move what you can from the phone's memory onto the memory stick.

My w900i is slow aswell. HATE IT

Try to transfer data onto the memory card, and wait a while to let phone index be updated. is the same with SenseMe in music player, it takes a while to recognize new inserted songs.
