Z558i completely dead?

Hello,

First off: This is my first post here. Sorry if this thread is in the wrong forum.

Secondly, to the problem:

I've gotten hold on a Z558i prototype phone, which is acting very strange - or rather; it ain't doing much at all.

The problem is that it seems to be completely dead, except for the fact that the vibrator is buzzing in short intervals from time to time. The screen is completely black, and no light-indications on the buttons whatsoever when I try to turn on the phone. :confused:

I assume that it might be the EROM that's funked up, but I'm clueless as how to resolve the problem - since flashing software doesn't even recognize that there is a phone connected through the USB-cable.

I guess it's a long shot, but if any of you guys got any suggestions on how to revive the bugger (if that's even possible) I'd be greatful. Note that I haven't tried to upgrade the firmware or do any other modifications to it as of yet. I just want the darn thing to start.


In worst case scenario I guess the crap's gonna keep the rest of the household garbage company tomorrow. ;)
