I think so. When i put the cable in (it is a USB cable) then the Prolific USB-to-Seriel-Comm Driver appears in the Device Manager.

the port you selected on SEMC 8.4 must be the USB-TO-SERIAL-COM you see on the device manager , otherwise your phone won't be identified by the soft ....once done do :
-check Clear User Code case
-press Do selected Jobs
-press shortly the power button on ur phone
that's all ..
The operation should succeed unless u have some TX/RX related problems in ur phone.
Regards.
I am using correct Com port, a wrong com port give an error "cant open Port 4" or what ever ... and using both methods described, i still get Phone no power error. If i leave the cable off, and connect then when i see Power phone on ,, i connect cable, power goes on, but then no power error. same if i leave cable connected and press power button on phone ...
I must de doing something wrong .. in exactly what order must i connect cable, and what buttons must i press?
let's try this way :
Remove battery and press Do Selected Jobs. ...wait 2 - 3 secs ..insert it back ...that would force the phone to communicate with the soft ..
If failed ....then you have to open your phone...and clean the system Connector..It might be --Dusted-- ! and try the process once again !
I got a lot of phones having problems in Connectors (preventing them to send/recieve any data out/in).
Best regards .
That didnt work either. I have a connection with Float, but i am starting to think maybe i have a wrong cable ? I use a standard T28 USB data cable with 4 plastic holding pins and then 8, 1 and 2 contact pins so it looks like this:
*llllllll*l*ll*
I hope you understand what i mean :)
