Customizing Walkman 2.0 app

I'm not sure if this is the right thread but has anyone been able to extract the swf that are used as the UI for the Walkman 2.0 app? (as found in the S500i/W580i phones)

The Walkman interface is really quite nice. What would make it better in my opinion would be to have the option to view it in landscape mode. If we have access to the swf file it would not be difficult to modify it to do just that.

Let me know what you think. If anyone wants to work on this let me know and i will do my best to help. :)

Which one is walkman 2.0 is it the orange one or the black one? Anyways, i think it would be book to have either in landscape mode or have it to rotate like Mini Opera.

I read about this, and is not possible because the hardware is not compatible...!!! :(

It's black on mine by default but I do have the option of choosing an orange and white skin. Black actually looks really nice. The fonts are a little large (even on my 320x240 screen). That's one reason I think it would work better in landscape. I can also increase the album art size too. :)

there is a wai of extracting the files... but as i sed in the lines above you need to make a patch so the phone can rearange the files and copy them to the right place... the .swf file you are talking about can be modified... but with the risk of loosing something i meed the app may not work normal or cause software and hardware faults

Interesting! If it's something that I can follow instructions without damaging my phone I'll try to extract them myself. If someone already has done it can you point me to the correct thread or files?

no way to upgrade from walkman 1 to 2 ... but there is a patch that can replace walkman1 with walkman 2 but only in supported phones(hardware isues...) ... search for this here on topsony.

walkman 1 CAN'T be replaced by walkman 2.0, and it CANNOT be extracted from firmware, because its stored in the MAIN. Extracting is only available with the FS.
