If your phone is locked, I dont ecommend to do so, because if you want to unlock it later, it will be kinda hard or expensive to do. If you phone is unlocked, then I think you can update your CID version. Notice: CID52, will make your phone more secure and more difficult to use with many applications. if you are not intereted on hacking your phone, then you can upgrade

Thanks for the advice, My phone is unlocked so should be fine. I've just looked at the back of my phone and says its a prototype. Would that effect it in anyway?

Isit possible to flash my CID49 w610i with a RED52 FS and MAIN file or would it stuff my phone? because I cant seem to find any flash files that says 49.

and could someone explain what the colour means, for example, RED, BROWN

Sorry for all the questions, this is my 1st time flashing and I'm a bit worried.

I was in the process of debranding my W810i and my EROM changed from R4E031 (which I liked) to R3A005 (which I hate). What are the steps I need to take to revert back to an R4E031 EROM? I can't even use the SIM-lock removing patch :(

    Hopefully someone can help me...

    Thanks

AFAIK as 2 post up say only SEUS can upgrade CID from 49 -> 52 for free or wotan/kulan for about 7 euro. And after that you can use phone XS++ to flash newer firmware with CID52. So if you want to debrand then use SEUS first and stay branded then use XS++ 2.2 to debrand.
