yes - you can flash db2020 using the latest XS++.
and i think 2+5 is an alternative for 'c' on some phones... - on my k610 pressing 2+5+8 registers as a 'c' when writing text or in the keyboard test in service menu...

Which phone? What version of phone software? Which version of XS++?
Actually I am building up courage to use XS++ on my phone to circumvent "operation failed" problem.. so just trying to do as much research before I begin... don't want an expensive brick :(..

    Thanks,

I'm trying to flash my W610i with XS++ to have chinese language.
when I plug the phone with a DCU-60 cable, it says:
"Would you like XS++ to update your EROM CID to 52?"

My phone at the moment is EROM Brown 49 and looking to update to R6BC002 RED52.

Should I update my EROM from 49 to 52?

If your phone is locked, I dont ecommend to do so, because if you want to unlock it later, it will be kinda hard or expensive to do. If you phone is unlocked, then I think you can update your CID version. Notice: CID52, will make your phone more secure and more difficult to use with many applications. if you are not intereted on hacking your phone, then you can upgrade

Thanks for the advice, My phone is unlocked so should be fine. I've just looked at the back of my phone and says its a prototype. Would that effect it in anyway?

Isit possible to flash my CID49 w610i with a RED52 FS and MAIN file or would it stuff my phone? because I cant seem to find any flash files that says 49.

and could someone explain what the colour means, for example, RED, BROWN

Sorry for all the questions, this is my 1st time flashing and I'm a bit worried.
