    Camera module cid36 vs cid49 for K750i

    Hello folks...
Today I got a SE K750i cid36 from a friend to service it (it had no signal what so ever). After a flash (to check for faulty software) I decided to open it up and have a look at its "guts".
As it turns out, my friend gave thee phone to a "service" center and the metal screening cap from the signal block was missing. Seeing as it was hard to fix it, I bought the phone for spare parts from my friend (everything else but the signal was ok). So I started to play with it. I noticed that the camera could still zoom even if at max res with the original drivers. Where as my K750i@W800 can only zoom after being modded to w800 (and still it only gets a 2x zoom at full res).
So I opened my phone too and changed the cam modules.
After this was done I've tried the K750i again at maximum res. Upon trying to zoom, it said that it can't be done at "this high resolution". I didn't change the main or fs in any way. And my K750i@W800 was now capable to take photos at max res with full 4x zoom.
So, the question is: do cid36 K750i have different versions of the camera module than the cid49?

PS: also on close inspection I found out that the cid49 default cam module has a few "extra" resistors compared with the cid36 one (although the product ID matched on both of them and it would have appeared to be the same hardware).
PPS: all the tests were made on both phones switching the cam module using the default cam drivers (for the K750i and W800i) and only switching the cam module. The cam module from the cid36 won on all tests.
