K610i flashed and booting yet WSOD remains...

I have a K610i that is suffering from the White Screen of Death. I have flashed the phone using both SETool Lite 1.11 and Wotanserver 3.8. The handset is now booting and I can play the demo video but the screen still remains pure white.

I have tried both the Unlock/Repair and Recovery options in SETool but to no avail.
Unlock/Repair: Completes successfully but does not solve problem.
Recovery: Throws error, "Failed to find resource !"

I also know the screen is good because I have hooked it up to another K610i. I just don't get it.

If flashing was done correctly and display is working fine on another phone then check the board is it water damaged and try to clean/resold display connector and small capacitors close to connector on the board.I had same problem on 2 k610 and after i resold display pins and capacitors on the board all was fine.If some track is broken you'll have to make jumper.

Thanks for that, Satch. I have never soldered anything so small and delicate as a mobile phone PCB. This could get interesting!

You are welcome,first check all contacts on PCB display connector.If some contact is black(it is burned and have oxide on it) or you can see something like white powder(water damaged) then try to clean it very gently with alcohol.If same then try to resold pins or take the phone to some private repair/unlock shop,he can change connector if needed.

Right. I couldn't crack the phone fully open up to now because I didn't have a T6. Now that I have the phone open I think I have bitten off more than I can chew.

I can't spot any bad contacts and even if I could they are so tiny I don't think I could do anything about them. Any thoughts?

Hi,it's hard to tell from here but i would take the phone to some repair shop to resold lcd connector or replace it.You can just tell the man that you flashed phone and replaced lcd from a good working phone then he will tell you what he think about it.
