"customize.xml" is uploaded in phone's FS (TPA/preset/custom), when you make customization with "CDA", so you don't have to copy it from phone to PC. Just identify your phone with Setool or XS++ download the CDA, unpack it and you'll find "customize.xml".

Re: how to add languages to your phone

I used this method on my W760 (A2 phone) and it worked well.

    • Added .t9 and .lng files in tpa/preset/system/language
    • Edited tpa/preset/custom/Customize.xml to add the language
    • Edited tpa/preset/system/language/allowed_language.txt to add language
    • Reinsert battery, startup phone.

Basically followed the instructions in the first post of this thread but left out the step about deleting the lng.lst and lng.dat files.

Re: how to add languages to your phone

    Finnaly I did it....
Could change the writing language from my K550i - Portuguese
I done so kind of crazy stuff but it worked for me.
1st - Download language file pack from k750 (SE TOP SONY download section)
    2nd - Extract de pt.t9 and pt.lng
3rd - Created my onw "allowed_language.txt" file --> simply write the language in the file: for me I write: "en,pt," and save file.
    4th - delete lng.lst and lng.dat files
5th - upload this 3 files to the right place tpa/preset/system/language/
6th- edited "customize.xml" like it says in the first post of this topic and
    upload to tpa/preset/custom/
7th- exit from far, restart phone
8th - go to phone settings, language, writing language and activate the portuguese language....
9th - Now I can write my sms in portuguese - my native language besides the phone language it's in english....
Thanks all of you and specially to the post creator
    Best regards - Good Speed

Re: how to add languages to your phone

i've been searching through the forums and i found a common problem. there is no zs.t9 or zh.t9 file anywhere. even when the phone is flashed w/ a language pack that has zs/zh, its still impossible to type in that language, only able to display it.

so, does anyone have a solution to this problem, ie: where i can find .t9 files?

finally I made it (half way though) on my TM506
use zh.lng and zs.lng from C902, must be lower case, but input still doesn't work (crash the phone)

Have anyone tried W350? I want to put Chinese on it. I've tried google but can't find the right files for this particular model. Thanks.

Re: how to add languages to your phone

It looks like the method in the first post of this thread does not work for adding Chinese (zh and zs) to W760a (AT&T branded). I followed the procedure exactly, except deleting lng.dat files as they are not there. ZH and ZS still do not show up in the list of languages after reboot.

Has anyone successfully added ZH and ZS to their AT&T branded W760a phones? If so, how did you do it? Thanks very much in advance!
