how to add languages to your phone

@redswap if i recall correctly, there was a thread somewhere on this forum that described how you could obtain these files with phones with cid 52 and such when far wasn't able to copy files. I wasn't able to find the thread but i no it exists. maybe someone else can find it. But i know the process involved copying a file that you make somewhere onto the phone with far, you would then restart the phone, and the file you originally uploaded would send instructions to your phone to copy the specific file you want (i.e. for you the customize.xml) to where ever you want it on your phone (i.e. the memory card) from there you can copy this file to your computer, modify it, and upload the file with far to where it needs to go on the phone to allow you to customize the phone.

For those of you that are having a problem accessing the allowed_language.txt and customize.xml on your phones, i have found this tutorial on how to copy the files to your computer. Its only a few extra steps. Just follow that tutorial on how to copy the two files to your computer rather than just with far. Other than that, you would basically follow the directions posted on the first post.

I do think I need to mention at this point to that if your using this method, i can only assume that your phone is newer than mine. I am aware that newer phones now use FONT files rather than having them directly coded into the firmware. If you are having issues still seeing characters (specifically chinese possibly others as I am not fully knowledgeable with fonts and newer phones) you may need to copy the FONT files over as well, just as you would the .t9 and .lng files. They should also be able to be extracted from a FS like .lng and .t9 files, and will need to be placed into as well as need to be placed in the tpa\preset\system\fonts folder.

You may need to modify the FONTS.xml as well, but exactly how, i am not sure. Best advice i can give on this is if an unmodified FONTS.xml works with all your languages, don't mess with it. If it doesn't work with the new languages, make a backup of your original, then I'd try copying the one from FS you extracted the FONTS from. It should work with the new languages, I don't know if it will work with the old though. You may have to modify it yourself from looking at both the FONTS.xml and possibly others from other extracted FS to understand how it works as I don't. If anyone gets this to work either by following these directions or modifying them some how post so others know how to. And eventually when i finnish writing my capstone I will hopefully have time to completely rewrite the original tutorial to encompass everything and possibly add pictures to make some things clearer.

Can someone who has main2raw and sefstool4 working please extract unkrainian language for me for the k790 r8bf003 firmware? It's central asia firmware, and I would really like to have it. My computer won't allow me to extract and just gives me errors.

After knowing what to do, next is to find the language file for my firmware

There is no language file for W580 on this site.
When extract language, I always get error...
guess i'll have to wait for someone to upload them
