k700 to... what?

hi guys

im new to this forum and to customization so excuse!

i would like to know if i can upgrade my k700 to another phone firmware?, i'm going to buy a new phone in near future, so can i buy a k750 and upgrade it to w810, or its preferrable to buy a real w810 to upgrade it to something more? i think both have the same photo quality? thanks

You cannot update a phone with a different firmware if the hardware is different like in this case.

The firmware is done for a specific electronic, microprocessor, data bus & logic bus. (K750 uP is faster than K700. It's like as if you would like to use a car to cross a river!)

Normally you can see that new revision of FW have the same size of memory of the previous, different phone model have totally a different size and structure. It's enough to download the files and you will see immediately the difference.

excuse me i didnt explain too much:
i want tu buy a new phone : if i buy the K750 i know that i can upgrade him to W800 (so as to have walkman menu?) but if i buy a w810 : can i upgrade him to something more (w880?...)

another question : it would be useless to buy a W810 if the K750 can be upgraded to it! is it possible?

yeah... flash to a w800 and customize the menu and the walkman skin.... use google, it helped me a lot

and by the way... i have already tried. it is not possible to upgrade k750 to w810... dont try it.... it took a hell much yime to fix my phone again....and no you cant upgrade w810... but you can cusromize it... as i said before... google it..

ok zarbane, first off, k700 cant be upgraded to anything else, second; the K750 can only be upgraded to w800 as their hardware is identical, the w810 is has a different hardware layout and it is in no way similar to the k750. you need to realize that not every single SE phone can be upgraded...its only a few specific hardware platforms that can interchange their softwares

@ zarbane - out of the three models (K750i, W800i, W810i) buy W810i it's the newest, it is pretty customizable, and it has a few pluses to K750i/W800i.
