I managed to update the FS on a brown CID49 K750i using the instructions above. Now I am starting to wonder. What is in a MAIN file and why didn't I flash the MAIN? I followed the instructions because the phone has broken keys 1 4 7 and *. I thought flashing software might fix it because they seem to work after leaving the battery out for about a day. However, the keys fail again within a few minutes. Does this sound like a hardware fault?

I have a factory BROWN CID49 K750i and is already unlocked. Other posts have said don't make it RED or it will not work.

Why should I be bothered about making it RED?
Can I flash the standard K750 R1CA021 MAIN + FS with FAR Manager + SEFP 0.10.0.51 (using the K750_49BROWN boot script)?
Can I then finalise with FAR Manager + SEFP 0.10.0.51 (using the K750_49BROWN boot script)?
If I can flash and finalise with FAR Manager then what is the point of making it RED? Is it just to use SEUS? Why would I want to use SEUS when I can use FAR Manager!!!

I am just wary of bricking my phone, especially as it is a factory BROWN but I hate the R1AA008 that is on it.

Once I have flashed to R1CA021 then are all the fancy tweaks just options in the FS which I can use FAR Manager + SEFP 0.10.0.51 (using the K750_49BROWN boot script) to edit it to my heart's content?
