There is a difference in hardware and software,for example w580im have stereo fm radio and don't have infrared and that is the reason why exist different firmware for both phones.I never touch hardware before i check all options with software.I can tell you that i had phones that i couldn't fix without help of far,setool and A2 uploader,sometimes it is bad flash files and sometimes flashing stop with x tool but work with y tool so i use them all including SEUS.If all fail then i work with hardware.In your case i would try also with seus just to be shure that it is HW problem then check for water damaged,change display,flex and rehot reball flash chip as last option.I hope this will help you.
