The sms delivery report options ... it is not in the gdfs... it is sms_cust.xml in FS/tpa/preset/default and in default.xml same folder... and what you say abou debranding 3 phone or 3g phone? read your post... and corect it if you tiped badly... use edit..

Ok, I think this is why delivery reports don't appear on debranded Three phones: supposedly delivery reports are disabled on USIM cards from Three, and that Three's firmware is the only thing that makes delivery reports possible. I think that Three has changed some setting in the GDFS, making the option disappear with generic firmwares?

Could someone analyse the default messaging settings in 3-mobile branded firmware and see if it would be possible to create some kind of patch?

no... wrong again... delivery reports apear on debranded phones... eg: k310 k510 w300 k750 w800 and w810... all debranded and flashed with generic firms... deliveri reports active and working fine... no modif on gdfs... P.S. delivery reports depend on the operator too... so you may try to contact your local network provider...

Really? Ok. Thanks for your help again :) What lead me to say that was the fact that many people who had "3" branded phones had delivery reports, then once they had debranded they were gone (gone as in the option to enable delivery reports was no longer there, along with other SMS options). I got my details from lots of searching around and what lead me to my conclusion was this link:
