I tested this method and it doesnot work for my W995 RED53. My phone did not turn on.
So, for the moment, I think that is not possible to patch A2RED53 for free.

@tharux: You forgot one important thing/step :)
Step 0 - Change certificate of your phone to brown. or patch your SEMCBOOT
none of this is free.
