Faulty power button? hmmm try to clean all battery and other copper contacts with white spirit or use aftershave or perfume... anything with alchohol or meth, even petrol!!! be carefull!

It sounds like your phone is recieving a burst of power but not enough to fire it up???
Try new battery clean conntacts . after this fails try ebay for new phone. sorry i a noob.
