If you wanna change your phone's menu, You have to flash the phone to replace the old menu!

yes, with out flashing you can't change your menu && after customization u RESET it.

Main firmware meaning the version of your phone R1L002,R1BC002,etc... Upgrading it to the latest firmware is a must to avoid bugs. Try downloading SEUS(Sony Ericsson Update Service). It is simple as long as you follow the instructions provided on-screen. Having a lower CID such as 36 makes more easy modding it to change many options such as camera driver, sound, menu icons, patches, etc..

mine is a k550i with cid51. and it's branded all over (reason why i think it wont find updates in SEUS, nor let me link to my mac's bluetooth, even though it pairs.. that's why i want to update... any ideas?)
how can i downgrade the cid? and will I lose anything by downgrading it?
