    Angry T715A - Assistance - No 3G

    Hello,

    I recently purchased a Fido SE T715a.

    I unlocked it using Wotanserver and inserted the Rogers SIM from my BlackBerry 9700.

    After unlocking, everything worked fine. I was able to establish and maintain a 3G signal. After changing the data connectivity settings to mirror Rogers, I was subsequently able to browse the Internet, make use of the web-enabled applications and tether.

    After a debrand (using T715_R1GA026_FS_AMERICA_RED53 & T715_R1GA026_MAIN_GENERIC_AM_RED53), I can no longer establish a 3G signal, only 2G.

    I switched to GSM/3G under 'Mobile Networks' but this does nothing.

    I have also used 'MyPhoneExplorer' to switch from GSM/UMTS to UMTS. I receive the following message:

    "No net. coverage"

    If I go back into 'Mobile Networks', neither GSM or GSM/3G are selected.

    If I select GSM/3G, signal is restored but 3G remains elusive.

    Any ideas?

    did you figure this problem out. im having the same problem . I unlocked it and used a fido sim again ang got mthe 3g icon then i unbrand with generic firmware and now the 3g icon does not appear and on the network icon the is a small E on top.
