    C905 wifi problem

    Hi guys..
This is my first post for my problem
    I just bought a C905 which i really like after i had a W810I for almost 4 years(best phone ever)
I bought it from China(Ebay,i live in europe) and the problem is the wifi when is on is always searching but nothing..

So after some research i found my MAC address was 000000 and i look on the internet and i found this page
    [Problem] c905 no wifi - Page 2 - GSM-Forum
Did what it said and i manage to change it but still nothing
After i decided to flash the phone again with R1FA035 firmware but still nothing..
I also did a master reset.. Any other ideas???
I know c905 its not a new phone but the price was great for me to have a 8mp, wifi and a beautiful phone..
    Any advises for the wifi??

Try to repair gdfs and if that not solve your problem then it is hardware problem. You can try it with Omnius but you have to buy license. You can find gdfs for your phone in Omnius/gdfs and TA sticky thread and there is the guide in first post how to do that.

    thanks satch1234 for your reply..

Im willing to try with omnius to change the gdfs but i have some questions.
1)What GDFS and TA stands for??
2)How i know what kind of GDFS files i have on my phone??

3)On your first line on the forum it said that my phone must be red certificate??I flashed my phone with this
    C905_R1FA035_FS_ADRIATIC_RED53
So i guess its red certificate huh??

and final what the GDFS will change on my phone because everything else is working perfect??
    Thanks in advance

    Re: C905 wifi problem

In gdfs is stored calibration data and imei, and it is unique for every phone model.I fixed a lot of phones with gdfs repair when phones has no network coverage, not charging,wi-fi and bt problem but i can't promise to you that it will work on your phone.
You can backup your original gdfs with Omnius and restore whenever you want. You have to use gdfs from the same phone,it means c905 in your case.Don't worry about imei,Omnius will not change it as it is not possible.
You flashed it with RED53 flashfiles so you don't have to change it.
If calibration data is damaged in your phone then gdfs repair could solve your problem but if the phone was damaged by water or in a fall and if there is some hardware problem it will not work.
If you have some other SE phones to unlock and flash then buy 1 day license and try,you have nothing to loose. You can unlock and flash unlimited number of phones during 24 hours.
