Configuration error

I just flashed my fido se z710i to a w710i.

my phone is cid 49 and i used W710_R1JC002_MAIN_GENERIC_RED49.mbn & W710_R1JC002_FS_AMERICA_1_RED49.fbn. the flash finished but when i turn on the phone it says configuration error, i am able to receive calls but thats it. i would like to know how to repair this problem i spent hours reading and searching the internet but i still wasn't able to fix this problem. my phone is locked to fido.

u don't have customizing

You must not follow the method of Flashing.
And you did not customize your firmware.

Flashing should be done in this order
1) Flash FS
2) Customize FS
3) Flash MAIN
Because in XS++ the flashing has to be done in following order only because of a bug.

thanks for the quick reply but i was able to fix with the custamization. i downloaded the fido custom files from here (top sony) i used xs++ (the fsx function) followed the instructions on where to put the files i extracted. brute forcing took 20mins. once it was done i turned the phone in with the sim and voila everything worked perfectly.

forgot to say i never reflashed the phone. so i dunno if the order is that important. at least it wasn't for me.

You don't really need that precisely customization and I will tell you why:
Take a look into some customization files and you will notice some resemblances meaning that:
Header is almost the same, so keep one form another customization file.
What makes the difference for a particular FS is
<allowed-language> …… </allowed-language>
There are a few rows that you need to match with your present FS in order to have all those languages on your phone.
Second important thing are the certificates. Again as you will see they are basically the same as for every phone, so you can copy those lines form another customization and also the certificate files.
Now, all the remaining lines in the customization can be removed without worrying, those lines are only for the purpose to make some settings in the phone, as you would by accessing phone’s menu. Also some lines have the single purpose to disable things like flash desktop, wireless willage and other things…
