Z750 side key configuration

Hey, I debranded my z750 phone, except the side key now shows 'Phone Status'. Is there a way to set it to adjust ringer volume?

you can do with softkeys.

It's not the left or right key on the front of the phone. It's the one on the side. Refer to the picture in the link. I just want it to adjust the ringer volume when i push it. So down button should be decreasing the volume, and the up button should increase it.

mmm but usually always side buttons show the status of the phone. And just when the music is playing these buttons are to increase or decrease the volume.

Those buttons are not functioning that can change the default bring. All Sony Ericsson java are so by default.

When the phone had the AT&T firmware, those buttons were able to adjust the ringtone volume. I really don't know how they made it do it. I guess one could dig into the firmware and find out....

Then you could try flashing your phone
and put a CDA or CUSTOM of AT&T
It could be just as you say.
