Help unlock T717

Hello guys and girls?

I have this phone, T717, locked to t-mobile. Want to unlock it.

Read a bit around the forum and other places and many people are saying this can be done by flashing with the T707 firmware.

So my question is this, which firmware do I use from the T707 download page?

Flashing your phone will not unlock your phone, you need to understand the differences - flashing and unlocking, they are completely different. Use Omnius to unlock your phone though its a paid service, it is user friendly.

I understand the difference between the two, I've done it before although its quite a while back, and if I remember well i needed both main+fs files back then, and using them to create a patch file or something, which I kinda flashed into the phone to unlock it... I think..

Anyways, was hoping I'd find a similar way of unlocking this phone but if I cant then I'll have no choice but to do as you say.
