play is basically a gaming phone so obviously it has got high specs like high video display screen and soft and very attractive gaming keypad ...but previous version like Xperia x8, x10i, x10 mini all lacked processing speed as compared to recent xperia play, Neo and Xperia pro.

however compared to other xperia phones play is totally distinct. Thats the reason they consider phones like sony ericsson xperia pro and play as business smartphone and gaming smartphone respectively.
