w580i unlocking woes (SOLVED)

Hi guys,

I was hoping someone could help me out here.

I was attempting to unlock my kids' new w580i phones we got them for Christmas so they could use their old simcards in them, but it has gone horribly wrong.

Firstly, Ad-Aware killed the process of SETool Lite v1.11 mid-way through the process of applying the QAPatch.
Secondly, the PCs I was using had Win7 installed and were giving Code38 Errors constantly, really hindering the use of the Flash for the phones.

I now have a PC rocking on Windows XP and the process seems to work OK now with no crashes or anything. Problem is, I am trying to re-flash MAIN.mbn but it is giving me an error.

Can someone please advise me how I can revive the phone (as it currently won't switch on).

Rectified.

Turned out that I was using the wrong box on SETools Lite v1.11. Instead of the "ADD" button, I placed the .mbn file into the Firmware Upgrade Section like a complete fool!
