Z550... What are the posibilities???

First i really wanted too change my menu icons...
And so I did....

Second I wanted too be able to change the menu without using a computer...
And so I did....

Then I wanted to remove the preinstalled games...Messed arround in the customaize folder... Briked my phone :mad: ..."configuration error", it said
Got over that afther all, with no custpack available... Used a K610 custpac, that worcks just fine, only probl is that I can't download apps...

Changed the Media Player skin...

ALL THIS WITHOUT BRUTEFORCING!!!

when you sed without brute forcing you ment using FAR :D

I'm not really sure what I did that got my phone working again...
When i reallised that I only had main and fs for my phone, and that my custompack was somehow imposiblle for me to find yesturday, I decided to try and make it work somehow else

I downloaded the custpac kor K610i, according too my region, and just put that on my phone...

As weird as it may sound, my z550 worked perfectlly, except one little bug: I couldn't download java apps from wap, not such a big problem, but it still bugd me...

So, here's what I did: I had a copy of my old customise.xml in my backup folder, and all I did was replace the file now in my phone with the old one... And VOILA! Phone is perfect!!! Even a few bonus features, like faceWrap, that i wasn't able to install in the old days, couse it sayd the apppl is not yet available for my phone, now i got it preinstalled... :p

i think you want to do a full flash... so go to the Tutoarials & Guides section...

I've seen people asking about this on the forum, but i really didn't imagine it was really this simple...

I never really enjoyed the "Play now" link, and I was thinkinking of the posibilitty of changing it into something else...And i did it!

Here's how it goes...
First of all, I accessed my phone using FAR [we all know how to do that :D ]
You need to edit the menu.ml file, so that the first element, witch is normally suposed too be the sony ericsson page, or you'r operator's home page, is replaced by "play now"

The lines too be removed are these"

Afther you have uploaded the edited menu.ml file and got you phoe working again, you must doo the following: Navigate Too the settings menu, select the Connectivity tab, Internet profiles, select the profile you use too conect too wap, press MORE, complex....
You will see the option "Modify start page"...You can enter any adress you like, and have it instead of the "play now" item in the menu... Enjoy



This method is tested on Z550, but might ass well work on any other SE phone... In fact, I'm sure it does :-)
