w995 assistance please

hi i am new to the site and really not very good with phones heres my predicament,i recently lost my w995 so phoned orange and had to get a replacement on the insurance(25 quid grrrr) but i had a call from my mum saying she found my phone down the sofa at her house.i think orange have blocked it and i wonder if it can be removed so my daughter in law can use her payg sim in it(she is expecting a baby soon so money is tight and i am in no financial position to buy her a phone )any help would be great many thanks mikk

changing IMEI is the only options to do so but this is illegal and as far as i know, it cannot be done since it's an A2 phone
