Configuration error, w300i

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to upgrade/debrand my w300i using the [how-to]customizing W810 With Far+sefp, without bruteforcing! guide, and got all steps working, uploading the custom files using FAR and the rest with XS++ etc.

My phone has CID 49 and is red. The CDA is CDA102665/13. I'm Swedish.

I'm using the following firmware files:
W300i_R9A036_MAIN_GENERIC_JE_RED49.mbn
W300i_R9A036_FS_EUROPE_4_RED49.fbn

And the custom file is this:
Jing_Generic_CDA102665_13_EUROPE_4.zip

The file for getting into the FS with Far is:
w300_p3k_dcu.49R.ssw

Everything seems to work accordingly but when I boot up my phone I get the Configuration error (contact your operator, or whatever (in Swedish)) I've seen some others get.

The order I do things is:
Upload FS with XS
Upload file for getting in with FAR to Main using XS.
Upload the tba directory using FAR.
Upload Main with XS.

Does anyone have an idea what may be wrong?

There is a problem with the finalization process. Be sure that you finalize the phone after flashing.

Thanks for your reply. I'm a bit of a newbie so forgive me for asking:
Is there anything I need to do to finalize that I'm not doing? (Refer to my previous post).

buddy u have to finalize ur fone to make it work properly and the easy way in my mind is just connect ur fone to Far and copy ur CDA files to Custom floder not with subfloders just the files and leave the Far refersh ur fone and strat it ...should work properly now

Thanks, I got it working!

The problem was that I was not unpacking the .itm files to the custom folder. So for anyone else having the same problem - you have to unpack the .itm files, giving you .xml files (just double click and drag in FAR).

I had the same problem 2 days ago,but I did it working with bruteforcing,coz I got to the Far Manager,copied the files,but the problem still remained.Could someone explain me why?

even i had the same problem, later i solved it, in ur custom files there is custom.xml or somthng like that edit it and find w\word operator then if it is written only "generic" then change it to "generic trade" save the file and where u install the custum file there 1 drm folder will present delet that. ur phone will start working.
