Sony Ericsson Z610i - Locked To One Network

Hello,

First let me apologize as I'm sure you get bored of the noobs strolling in just asking for help. I've spent a few hours trying to find the answer but mainly been reached a few hundred pay to unlock sites. In basic I have a phone that's only locked to the orange network. As far as I understand you use the IMEI number to get a unique code to unlock the phone and it will be network free. However this can only be done by the network provider (is that right)?

If there is another way like flashing? How do I flash it with safety?

and these instructions will work for my phone model, as I didn't see it on the repatch?
