    K800i not recognized by computer

Hi,i have a K800i which has the red flashing light near the infrared port when attempting to power it on.

I know that this is normally an erom problem so have been trying to fix it using Kulankendi,Wotan,Setool and XS++ but i am unable to get any of them to recognize the phone.

The contacts on the phone are clean and the DCU60-USB cable is in good condition and works fine on other phones,i have also followed the proper proceedure of pressing the C button or 2 + 5 depending on which software i have been using.

I was wondering if anyone had any idea of why the phone is not being recognized,it is not water damaged at all and was working fine before the problem with the erom occured.

    Thanks.

Hi,yes i have got the drivers installed but it still will not recognize the phone - it will recognize other phones ok using the same cable.

I also tried the 2+* buttons together but still no joy,any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Maybe there is a problem to the phone USB connector. Try "moving" the connector up-down when plugging the phone and be aware of the windows sound when conecting a device.

    Have a nice day.

Re: K800i not recognized by computer

Hi Leonheart, i have tried moving the connector around but it is still the same. The phone did charge ok before so i am not sure if this is the problem but i think i might have to strip the phone down and remove the connector just to make sure it is clean and making a good contact.

    Thanks for your help.

Maybe it's your PC problem (windows, software or drivers), but first try to do it with friend/other PC, something like that.
