unlock w580i 53red succesfull but not working?

Hi,

I just unlocked my w580i using simox remove SIM-lock patch.
When I go into the service menu, i see that all padlocks in the SIM locks submenu are open. But when I put a different sim in my phone, I still get the "Insert SIM card of view demo" message.

Anyone got any idea what i did wrong and how to fix it?

"Insert Sim card" doesn't have any relation with unlock. you phone is ok, try other sim card (your sim card might be old 128k)

I tried a different SIM last night and that one worked like a charm. Guess I indeed have an old SIM. Didn't even know there were different types.
