unlock w580i 53red succesfull but not working?

Hi,

I just unlocked my w580i using simox remove SIM-lock patch.
When I go into the service menu, i see that all padlocks in the SIM locks submenu are open. But when I put a different sim in my phone, I still get the "Insert SIM card of view demo" message.

Anyone got any idea what i did wrong and how to fix it?

Post the log of flashing and files you used

Used the executer.b method (Far Manager + jsflasher) with W580_R8BE001_MAIN_GENERIC_LA_RED53.mbn

I don't think so, the sim card does work in a different phone.

Unless it is damaged in such way that it works in one phone, but not in a different phone. Although that would seem strange :)

"Insert Sim card" doesn't have any relation with unlock. you phone is ok, try other sim card (your sim card might be old 128k)

I tried a different SIM last night and that one worked like a charm. Guess I indeed have an old SIM. Didn't even know there were different types.
