Depending on what method you use to debrand or the files used your phone may come up with a new idenity. After debrading my C905a it came up as a C905 and some of AT&T aps wouldn't work. Did a little searching and found out the name may be the problem. The problem this guy had was with his W760a that came up a W760i after flashing. He changed the name back to W760a using this:

default_upgrade.xml...

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<customization>
<info>
<phone-name>W760a</phone-name>
</info>
</customization>

And placed it in directory: /tpa/preset/default

He was trying to get the att CV app to work and it did.

Will changing the phone name change the way ESUS sees the phone? Will anything else change just because of a name change? I'm very new to this and wanted to ask before I did it.
