Cannot repair w760

I just got a new w760 off of eBay the phone keeps resetting every time the media player opens. Im trying to do a phone "repair" from the Sony ericsson PC suite. The program reads the phone then it goes into a downloading screen(on the PC) then i get an error that says phone repair failed. Is there anything else i can try before i try to return this phone?

How do I go about getting these files? A quick internet search brought up threads that reference them. Do I use A2uploader to install them? When I de branded my last w760 I used this guide How to Debrand your USA ATT Sony Ericsson W760a | Sharky's Notebook If i remember correctly when i ran the program it changed the phone to red(not physically but the software) If i "debrand" it will those files be installed?
