Hy everybody. On my C902i phone I use to send sms in other language than English. The problem is when I want to use my Romanian T9 dictionary without national characters (national characters takes more spaces in SMS length than regular characters because they are not ASCII characters) and I write a sms with a word containing national characters (other then the characters from the ASCII code) my phone open a small window with "SMS 2" and mess the sms length, if I manually delete only then national character from the word the phone open a small window with "SMS 1" again and the remaining sms length is displayed correctly. This is very annoying, I changed the sound file that alerts me from SMS 1 to SMS 2 and back with an empty.3gp one but the problem with the sms length bug is still there. Also national characters in sms cost me more money, because I send 3 sms instead of one, as I wish. On my old W580i I had an option >>Writing options>>National chars.>>On/Off<< but I don't have this option on my C902i and I don't have the knowledge to make one by myself.
Can anyone please help me solve this issue? I tried LNG editor 0.0.1.3 in order to manually remove the national characters from ro.t9 file, but I can't open or edit the content of ro.t9 file and I get an error when I try to open the wdb.t9 (the original language file ro.t9 renamed as wdb.t9). I also tried to replace the HEX code of national characters with corresponding ASCII standard HEX code inside the ro.t9 file but the phone restarts when I try to write a new sms with the manually modified ro.t9. Also I tried to make a customize_upgrade.xml
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<customization>
<mmi>
<settings>
<t9-dictionary>true</t9-dictionary>
<enable-national-characters>false</enable-national-characters>
</settings>
</mmi>
</customization>
but nothing happens, I still have national characters (not ASCII characters) in my sms messages and of course I still have the annoying sms length bug when I use Romanian T9 support. I hate to write sms in the old fashion way, standard abc multi-taping, this is time consuming.
Maybe someone knows how to add a function and a menu >>Writing options>>National chars.>>On/Off<< that works on C902i in order to use only ASCII characters with the support of Romanian T9 dictionary, or maybe someone has a ro.t9 file without national characters inside, that works on c902.
I trust that on this forum are few users very smart and very skilled that can help me without effort. Thank you, any help will be appreciated!
