can't connect K800i to XS++

I've messed up my phone by removing the battery without switching it off and now it won't switch on.

Downloaded SEtool2 lite and tried repaid, got the error 29 message, downloaded XS++ to try and fix that and i can't connect.. Have tried holding "C" while connecting and nothing happens (saw on some threads that holding 2 and 5 works), tried holding 2 and 5 while connecting and I get as far as "Baseband ID 9900, Protocol version 3.1" and then nothing more happens. at the bottom of the screen it says "Port opened OK" but i can't do anything and under configuration the "Flash, FSX, GDFS and PATCH" options remain unselectable.

Any advice on how to go further from here? I've never made a backup of the GDFS either which appears to be important in fixing the phones.

try other battery and post result or remove battery for a day and try to start your mobile again

may be your phone use CID 53... only SETool BOX can reapir that phone

I had the exact same issue with a k790i: Holding 2+5 works and gets me to the same place with XS++ and holding C did nothing.

I fixed it using SETool Lite.

Get the files from the "SETOOL 2 LITE 1.10 guide needed files" section and follow the instructions in the "SETOOL 2 LITE 1.10 erom repair guide dcu-60 or cruiser" section.

For me, at least, it was very easy.
