Z310i Can't turn on BT

Hi!

i've got a problem with my recently bought SE Z310i.

i just can't turn on Bluetooth :(

it says "Bluetooth turned on", but it just stays off :confused:

i can turn it "on" as many times as i want.. it just doesn't work.

i already tried to turn the phone on and off a few times and left the battery out for a few minutes (was long enough to lose time/date) and i reset it to factory settings.

still no go.. :(

next thing would be the branding, as i've had lots of problems with my old D750i (T-Mobile version of the K750i.. mixed with the W800i casing in a different Color)

this Z310i is also T-Mobile branded, so i suspect that to be the reason.
but for flashing it, i would need a FW from the downloadbase here (which isn't possible to download for me..)

any more suggestions what to try?!

i said that i cant download those from the downloadbase here.
no money, and free thingy doesnt work.

problem is that i would need the CID53 FW.. i only found the CID52 version elsewhere :(

@addict26: R6BC002 ... so its stone-old..

but according to SEUS, there's no newer firmware (for this T-Mobile branded phone) :(

How to get access to Download Area?

@jasmin: thx for that post, but this doesn't help me out here :/

Free Access: All registered user's have free access to the Download Area:

• 3 files to every 3 days. It doesn't import their size or type, (This doesn't include firmwares and custom packs)

and i don't have the money to buy a premium thingy.

and i don't wanna request access to the download area yet. (i don't wanna risk getting those negative "points" for asking before i have enough helpful posts, because i don't know if i already have enough posts that would count as helpful)

so i'm kinda stuck at the moment.


i tried another thing to "update" the firmware yesterday...

got into the filesystem and replaced the custpack with a nonbranded one.
then i tried updating the firmware with SEUS..
well.. it worked... but not as expected.. :(

SEUS recognized the phone as a generic one (instead of t-mobile branded) and updated the firmware.

now i have a mix of a branded main FW and a non-branded FS FW...

didn't solve the bluetooth problem, but the FW got even more buggy :(

now the battery is getting empty within 1 (!!!) day, BT still doesn't work, and when the phone should restart itself (after resetting to factory defaults) the Firmware just hangs up (completele frozen, backgroung pic doesn't move anymore, need to get the battery out).

another thing that seems to be somehow related to that freezing:

when i turn off the phone, it seems off, but it isn't !
it's still partly turned on, sucking the battery empty.
and because it isn't really completely turned off, i cant turn it on with the power button. i need to remove the battery for a few seconds to turn the phone on again :(

damn.. this phone was meant to be the christmas gift for my mum..
i can't give it to her with all those problems :'(


@seamonkey: nope.. bought it on ebay..so no warranty for this one.
i could try to send it in for warranty (because it has never been opened yet) but i doubt that i will have it back until christmas :/
