Newbie: flashing a z610i

im new to the forum and have rexently purchased a z610i
I looking to flash it, and have lastesst firmware and change the lan. to hong kong
few questions
how to check my firmware at the moment?
do i require a data cable to flash or can i use USB?
Are the Z610 firmware the same as z610i as i cannot find z610i only z610i??

Hi, I'm also new to the forum and I find myself in a similar situation to manloonw here. Only that I need to change the language to spanish. I have the DCU cable, I've tried flashing it through the SE web but it only alows me to download the TIM Italy firmware that the phone already has which doesn't include spanish. Can anyone help here? is there some tutorial for flashing??

I have now read all the tutorials but haven't been able to try anything as I still haven't got acsess to the downloads section.
Also, the tutorial is for changing CDA on CID 49 phones and I still haven't find out how to know which CID is my phone.

okay, I downloaded xs++ from somewhere else and now I know this: OTP CID:49 EROM CID:52 which of those is "the phone's CID" that I have to get the firmware accordingly??
