First of all, I am happy with my [hw]W850i[/hw], and nothing wrong with it regarding its operation. I don't have enough background about the firmwares, custom packs, EROM, etc and all the things related to firmware patching, but I am reading through the forum and I am learning.
What I want to get is to set a password on Messaging folder for privacy.
When I connected to XS++ v3.1 it asked to update the CID to 52 and I didn't apply it, because I am not sure what will happen next,
1. Am I going to lose my phone languages, which are
M EAST N AFR (English - Arabic - Persian-Farsi - French), please advice.
2. In case of any problem and I wanted to flash the firmware am I able to flash the following firmwares with RED49
W850_R1ED001_FS_M_EAST_N_AFR_RED49
W850_R1ED001_MAIN_GENERIC_CY_RED49
because I couldn't find RED52 for M_EAST region only I found the Main
W850_R1ED001_MAIN_GENERIC_CY_RED52
then if it's not possible to flash with RED49, and I have to stick to RED52 for flashing and FS is not available for M_EAST, then which FS should I use and how can I bring back the Languages specified above?
FYI, I could get the Custom Pack for my region
