    help please! k550i problem

    hello! i dropped k550i in the water, after that some buttons dont work, 5,2,c. i supose it is a motherboard problem cos i tried to replace the keypad but nothing happens. if its up motherboard can it be fixed? or it is too expensive to change motherboard?

    I think the problem is: water got under keypad IC (Z2450) and it is still there, possibly causing same short circuits... it would probably help to disassembly the phone and using a hair dryer to try gentle to dry up the motherboard.. and see what happen.

    thanks for your reply, but i find on the google that, k550i and w610i dont have keypad ic ?! this keypad ic you suggested is for k500 k700 k750 and i believe not for k550i cos i didnt find this module on the mainboard. any solution?

    try resolder u r keypad connector(pcb) with micro soldering station..i think a single track is missing..do a continuity test with the connectors & mianboard for confirmation..
