    When trying to "Move ggsemc.sys in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers" I already had a file with the same name so I did not replace it. Could this be the problem that IMEI is not appearing?
    You don't have to uninstall the antivirus; eventually to disable it .
    If XS++ shows a log, there' s no problem with USB flash driver. As for the message "Warning: IMEI name does not match GDFS name (IMEI:NULL GDFS:W580)", it won't show up after a succesfull flash with XS++.

    Question Before I start mobile flashing...

    Ok, I understand and agree Setool is not a virus. I only wanted to use XS 3.1 because it seemed to be the other option. However, in case I need to use both the programs that is okay for me.

    With regard to flashing, is there Any chance of data loss?
    I am completely new to flashing and the only basic introduction here is just not very insightful. Any other guides available?
    I noticed another discussion on W580 flashing and I was wondering if I should follow any of the procedures there?

    Re: Before I start mobile flashing...

    You need Setool only if you want to "patch" your phone.
    Use this firmware:
    W580_R8BE001_MAIN_GENERIC_LA_RED52
    W580_R8BE001_FS_S_ASIA_LEVAN_RED52 and the customization
    HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_110_R8A_GENERIC_S_ASIA_LEVAN
    by following this tutorial :
    XS++ 3.1 Guide-Flashing, Customizing, Recovering - Top Sony Forums
    You can make 3.Flashing and 4.Customizing in the same run.
