(the question is at the bottom in bold but the text explains why I'm asking)
Hey guys! Apologies for this stupid question and I'm sure it's more general than model specific so probably anyone who knows a little about SE could help.
I just bought a secondhand phone (c905) on ebay... in great condition, debranded and unlocked. Good for me eh?
I tried to get BBC iPlayer on it through the wifi and much like many other forums which I found with threads about not being able to "connect with the media server" which had no answers; I thought I'd try updating the firmware to see if this made any change to this error.
Just as I was about to confirm the firmware flash button on SEUS and read the firmware version to update to, I thought I'd check what I was currently using. Sure enough the service menu informed me that it was the same version as the one SEUS was going to update to.
My question:
I don't know the history of my phone. However, I know there are some hacks to debrand SE phones that when flashing will be removed. Is there a way to see if this is the case? before I make my beautiful phone ugly.
