phone wont connect to pc

i have a w580i which im trying to unlock from o2 Ireland

it says i should hold c and plug in usb but it doesnt seem to pick it up

the file transfer mode seems to mess it up.

how do i get around this?

thats fine ive got it connected and flashed with jdflasher.

just one question

what do i need to flash the phone with to use it on every phone network

ive flashed it with the generic_la and europe 2 file but when i rebooted phone it just ended up exactly the same. locked to o2
