On 64 bits Windows XP it will be workin but on Vista... I don't think so (but maybe i'm wrong)

on a second note i've read in diiferent tutorials that it could take hours for the phone to flash. is that tru for every se phone or just for specific models.

it is for all the models and sometimes it takes 10 min like it did for me and sometimes it took me 5 hours
