    K800i won't turn on

    Hi everyone,
I think I may have killed my phone. I have just spent the last 5 hours trying to unlock my phone which is currently on the 3 network. I successfully unlocked my last phone a K550i with no problems, but this time nothing seems to have worked and the phone appears to be dead !
I used SEtools lite to make a back up and followed the instructions but for some reason the qmaker exe had been deemed a virus by bullguard so couldn't make the vkp file. So abandoned this attempt and tried to flash using XS++ , that seemed to work fine but of course the phone is not unlocked. So went back to SEtools and had turned off the bullguard so that the qmaker exe was in the settools folder ok . Tried to create the vkp file by dragging the main firmware onto the exe and nothing worked. Then , forgive me, as this is where it gets very confusing, tried to flash again and think I aborted it mid flow as it seemed to freeze up. Then I had a problem reconnecting the sony USB cable, Windows said that it wasn't working correctly and from that moment on haven't been able to get SEtools to communicate with phone.
Sorry if this is all confusing, it has been a very stressful few hours for me :(
My question is am I left with a dead phone or is there something I can try ?
Thanks in advance for any help.

try to charge battery with other phone, you may use the wrong qa patch (i.e. not for your phone) try different usb port

    Hi riders4sia,
    Thanks for your reply.
I think the battery was fully charged when I started but I did charge it up again, as I have another sony phone.
As to the USB port there seemed to be some issue with both ports not working correctly and since I am now having problems with my main computer I will be trying to use my laptop today to try fixing the phone.
With SE toolslite there seemed to be an issue with Qmaker, ie my antivirus removed the qmaker exe from the folder , so turned off the antivirus, downloaded again but there seems to be a file missing ,.Quick access VKP file which I had when I unlocked my K550i, which by the way I had no problem unlocking using SEtools and Simlock patch remover.
I think I just need reassurance that this will be fixable eventually. Oh well I will keep on trying.
    Thanks for your help.

    drewy

    you need drivers..

sillenasus you cant get your qmaker maked patch cause sometimes qmaker makes that patch and puts it somewhere on windows drive, for example c:\ (like in mine situation few months before) just use your search in computer and write in search some of your firmware version letters/digits and you will find it..

sometimes many drivers in one computer get nasty, so you just need to clan up your pc for flashing, or use another usb port, btw, try to connect cable by holding 2+5 instead of holding C button.. and maybe you will get your phone working again..

    First: UNINSTALL antivirus program !!!
    Download again Setool2lite 1.11 (not 1.08 or 1.10).

Remove battery from phone, then insert back - do NOT try turn on phone.
Connect to XS++ v 3.1 and flash Main. Then try to unlock with Setool2lite 1.11
