i appreciate the explanation provided by u... but i would rather say... its useless to have this connection.... because u can't download anything...... only surf... u can surf using broadband... thats not an issue....

i appreciate the work done by u... but its pretty useless to only surf... which can be done on comp... the downloading facility is quite limited and thats the point.....

    Download the necessary software:
    Sony Ericsson SDK 2.2.3
    Opera Mini

You also need the Java Development Kit (not Java Runtime) as it's required to run the Sony Ericcson SDK.
If this isn't the first time you are trying this and are without success I will let you gauge by yourself how many of your steps were right and how many were not depending on the success you had, of course you can always undo everything and start from scratch if you feel like it, but its a long process and you've probably had to spend a lot of time just to get as far as you already have, so you can decide for yourself, but i would suggest reading through the entire guide, to make sure you did everything.

Once you've installed all the software, it's time to set up a connection with your phone.

Start SE Device Explorer. Since the connection proxy isn't set, you'll get an error.

Just ignore and move to the next step.
Go to the "Connection Proxy" window and click on the settings button

Next, you have to pick a COM Port. The COM Port for your Bluetooth or USB connection can be found in the device manager.

Once you have found your COM Port, pick a Baud Rate and click on OK.
Go to the File menu and enable "Serial Networking".

Once you're connected, the Connection Proxy window should look like this.

You can now see which programs are installed on your phone.

If you don't see this, try pressing the refresh button.

Once you're connected, it's very easy to install java applets.

First you download Opera Mini and extract the files somewhere. Then rightclick the opera.jad file and click on "Install on device"

Now you should be able to start Opera Mini with Device Explorer.

To use your broadband connection you need to start Opera from your PC. But there is an easy way that allows you to remotely open Opera from your PC using your phone!

    What you need:
A working HID profile on your pc and phone
A tool to determine the Entrypoint and ID of the Opera browser
    A shortcut on your desktop

    Download the necessary software:
minibrowser.lnk (right click -> save as...)
List.bat (right click -> save as...)
List1.bat (right click -> save as...)
    Desktop.hid (optional)

First go to Entertainment > Remote Control on your phone and look for the Desktop profile.
If not, download Desktop.hid and send it to your phone via Bluetooth.

Copy minibrowser.lnk to your desktop. The name is not important so you can change it if you like.
Now you need to determine the Entrypoint (1 or 2 digits) and ID (5 digits) of the Opera browser. You can do this by running List.bat.
Once you got the numbers, go to the settings of the minibrowser.lnk shortcut and change the numbers. The first 2 numbers is the Entrypoint and the other 5 are the ID.
You should now be able to start Opera from your phone. To do this go the Entertainment > Remote Control and select the Desktop profile. You can start Opera by pressing the * button on your phone.

Once started, leave Opera running and close the HID as it can interfere with the Bluetooth Connection
i appreciate the work done by u... but its pretty useless to only surf... which can be done on comp... the downloading facility is quite limited and thats the point.....

i've managed to use Bluesoil ( IVT Corporation Homepage -- Empowers the Bluetooth wireless technology ) to get internet working on my v630i/k610/k618 (flashed it lots) - for everything from rss to all java apps and the inbuilt browser

bluesoil hosts a bluetooth PAN service that simply gives your phone access to the computer's lan - it's simply the reverse of using your phone to provide the internet connection to the computer

you add the computer, exchange passkeys, refresh the services list in the phone and then press connect. sometimes it takes a bit of fiddiling, like you might have to make the computer initiate the connection so that the phone knows that the computer's capable of the PAN protocol, and then get the phone to connect but once it's done simply look in your phone's internet profiles, make a new one (call it something like 'bluetooth', but it dosen't matter) and when you go to select a data account for it to use, you'll see the bluetooth name of the computer you're connected to (or have previously connected to) and choose it - set the profile to default for both internet and java - and wabam. i've downloaded mp3's, used google maps, anything you can do over the air (except streaming... but i'm working on that)

i've currently changed how my home network works - so "right now" my phone refuses to connect however that's because i've gotta fix up router tables and messy network schitt. but if you have a direct connection to the internet (or PPPoE) it should work FINE. just fine a bluetooth program that can link into your lan connection.
I have strange problem. I buy one SE K610im and use BlueSoleil for connecting the phone to PC via BT. When i click on "BT personal area connection" i have manage to use inet from the PC. I have flashed the phone with SE K610i FW and now i can't use inet from my PC via BlueSoleil. Can u help me man??? Thx in advice.
