setool - use two files in misc files section?

Hi,

I had successfully unlocked my K810i, but after reading about de branding on here I thought I would give that a try.

So I re flashed using: setool 1.11
K810_R1KG001_MAIN_GENERIC_SM_RED52
k810_R1KG001_FS_S_E_EUROPE_RED52
HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_3_R9A_GENERIC_S_E_EUROPE

I successfully debranded the phone, however it was again locked to orange (it was originally an orange contract phone). Worked fine with my inactive orange sim, just wouldnt work with my 02 sim because the phone was locked again.

So I decided to reflash with the same mbn and fbn, however instead of placing the location to the custom files in the misc box, I placed the location to "Remove_SIM_lock_K810_R1KG001.vkp", so I could unlock the phone. Unfortunately, you don't seem to be able to place a vkp and custom file zip into the MISC box.

The patch applied fine. BUT, since I could not apply "HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_3_R9A_GENERIC_S_E_EUROPE" at the same time as I applied the vkp, the mbn and fbn - I get greeted with this when I turn on the phone:

"configuration error
please contact your
network provider or
service centre"

I read this guide, I have the correct mbn, the correct fbn, the correct vkp and the correct custom files - but I cannot apply the vkp at the same time as the custom files :confused:

Is there any way to place both "HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_3_R9A_GENERIC_S_E_EUROPE" and "Remove_SIM_lock_K810_R1KG001.vkp" into the misc box?

I have tried flashing with the custom files, the fbn and mbn then tried inputting only "Remove_SIM_lock_K810_R1KG001.vkp" into the misc box and clicked "Write SCRIPT", unfortunately the vkp only seems to work whilst flashing, because I got this error message:

Well after many frustrating hours I finally have it both debranded and unlocked. For me, unlock patches would not work at the same time as flashing both the main and fs. Simply removing the fs and flashing just the main with the unlock patch worked for me.

Why cant you flash the main & fs and unlock at the same time?

Anyway feel free mods to delete this thread, though perhaps others new to flashing might learn from my mistake.
