D_Ultimate Unlocker Did Not Repair my W580i

I just wasted $22.00 USD on this D-Ultimate Unlocker that says it can Repair EROM/SEMC and Security Zone. My phone is on responding with blinking red light and CAN NOT Connect using C. Here is log from DUU=

Once the GDFS is dead thats it right. Dont waste more money? No ack, semc, error 29 means phone is dead right?

1) Can anyone tell me why the gdfs does not start up? Is my Phone Bricked?
2) Can anyone tell me the physical location of where the GDFS resides? What chip on Board?
3) Can anyone tell me the physical location of where the EROM resides?
4) Can anyone tell me the physical location of where the Main resides?
5) Can anyone tell me the physical location of where the FS resides?
6) Can anyone tell me the physical location of where the custpack resides?


I thought this program would fix my phone but it cannot so I wasted my money. If no one can tell me how to fix it without replacing the board and buying more stuff than the phone is worth then I challenge them to show me how and make a fool out of me.

Well this is really freakin strange! I connected using SETOOL V1.11 and tried to flash EROM because DUUU said effective CID was 49???? Why 49 when everything I have seen said 52. Even though I could not connect using C before and could only use 2+5 and could really never get all the data on the phone. Well guess what?....It connected to SETOOL using C and I got this when I tried to flash=

And the XS++ came up with a window that sats this. "Would You Like XS++ To Update Your EROM CID to 52? *Please note this cannot be undone*

Can this work? Flash CID52 Red to CID49 Brown phone? By the way it now starts up? but gives me "Configuration error. Pleae contact your service provider or service center" I am afraid to do anything else until I know wht to do. I thought you could not flash a brown phone with Main+FS to change or fix it or unlock it. I guess DUU did something, what I dont know. I need help please.

Well I guess I was wrong, D-Ultimate Unlocker did fix it but I dont know how. As you can see it was changed to Brown CID49 with OTP of CID51. Dont ask me why! No one has answered so I figured it out. Trial and error. I found out that DUU had fixed the phone after all so I could use the C to connect to XS++, SETOOL LITE, Far Etc.

In DUU I selected phone model w580i
I checked box = repair erom / semc boot
I checked box = Show Codes
On security zone operation I selected unlock(+ sec.zone rebuild)
On set certificate to: I think I selected no certificate change

So what I got was the log in the beginning of this thread posted above. I was upset because I thought it did not work so I was tired and up till midnight and had to get up at 4:00. Sorry all!
Anyway i was messing with XS++ and SETool and thought that maybe I could use DUU to change cid to red52. I accidenttally changed it to CID53 first and then found SETOOL dind't like that so I changed it back to CID52. I tried it and it worked as you see below.

After this it started right back up and is working. Tried both AT&T and T-Mobile and worked...UNLOCKED even.

I dont exactly know what the Brown thing was about but I changed it. If anyone can explain this all to me and help it make perfect sense then I am willing to listen. And so I hope this can help the next poor sole who has the same problem. I dont know why DUU worked but the $22.00 was not so bad after all. I have just spent 3 days trying to fix this and did it. A NEWBIE!!

your phne was brown development mode but xs++ change the phone to red cid 52 consumer mode phone did not get repaired because you used c to connect too d-ultimate unlocker you haveto use 2+5 while connecting the phone but your phone got unlocked any way and there was a (customazion error contact service provider error) but you reflashed the phone soo all i okey now hope this helped you understand

I did use 2+5 to connect to d-ultimate unlocker! C would not work until I used d-ultimate unlocker. Then XS++ must have changed it to red52. C started working after using d-ultimate unlocker. The phone works great now. I just want to know exactly what I did to get it to work in case I need to do it again. Can somebody tell what these codes are for? They came from D-Ultimate Unlocker log:

I Have the same problem with my w580i initially it was blinking red on infra red so i decided to use D ultimate unlocker to repair the erom and GDFS reconstruction. Both this proceedures were finished successfully, but when i am trying to flash my phone with setool or xs++ i can't my phone is keep getting disconected after writing 120 blocks from 460.

Anybody have any idea what should be done. Also to add my phone was not recognised by c button on any of the tools but after repairing it wih D Ultimate it does.

Any help would be appreciated!!!!

First, I take it that your phone is CID52 Red? Otherwise setool or xs++ would not try to write to it at all. Second, make sure your battery is fully charged. Third, clean the contacts on your phone, the connection to dcu 60 cable is important! Be careful not to scratch the contact too deep. Then flash one thing at a time using setool 1.11, first Main, then FS, then custpack. Try this and if that does not work then use Far Manager with JD Flasher.

I just want to know if this things can fix our phones or not. Also how one should recognise that my software is faulty and not the hardware? I beleive if we can still read the phone with setool and xs++ than this should be software issue only.
