770i 'configuration error'

Hi all,
Spent some time trying to unlock my 770i (db2020 cid 52) using the tutorials on the forum. the phone is now saying on startup that there is a configuration problem and to contact the service provider. Can someone give me some pointers to either repair the phone or get me back to where i started? To be honest I'm lost as what to do:confused:.

Thanks for your reply but I have fallen into the seus trap and updated the firmware,because I began to panic,bad move. I realised what i had done when i searched further. The phone is now working but is now a cid53 :(.
Is it still possible to unlock this phone without having to go to the service provider for the code? If it is possible could someone please point me in the right direction to do so e.g what tools to use and a suitable tutorial re cid53?

To all those out there Please,Please, Please be aware of the Sony Ericsson Update Service and the possibilty of it making your phones firmware CID53 which appears at the momment harder to work with.

Any way the question remains can the unlock still be done?
