C510 unbranded - Now internet error

Hi Guys,

I've unbranded my C510 from Vodafone ( Ireland ) to Generic by changing CDA and then using SEUS.

Everything works fine and I love the generic phone ( also seems faster ) - BUT - whenever I try to access internet I get message : " Access denied. This content is unsuitable for persons under the age of 15. etc etc etc ". I'd say I'm reaching the internet and this message is from Vodafone.

I've tried :

- Verified that I am registered with Vodafone as having unlimited internet access,
- Deleting the internet settings and having them re-sent from SE,
- Added the standard Vodafone security certificates to the phone ( via a customize_upgrade.xml file ),
- Added a few sections from Vodafone's Customize.xml file that seemed related to networking & security,
- Loaded Vodafone's preloaded_config.xml file to the phone.

*** ** * Edit(1) : Not certain if last 3 steps worked as I don't see them in Customize.xml on the phone but then again I'm not certain if it should be there. - Now going to try SEUS to get clean generic, then manually edit & add some Vodafone to Customize.xml. Noticed Customize.xml has phone as model C905 ? Hope I don't have a brick afterwards but here goes.......* ** *** :confused:

*** ** * Edit(3) : Again no luck - SEUS reports no new firmware - I'd guess because the generic firmware on the phone higher version than that from Vodafone custpack. Added Vodafone customizations to Customize.xml - didn't work either. Now going to flash with Vodafone C510_R1EA030_FS_VFE-LIVE-A_RED53 from this site, then manually try to strip Vodafone *** ** *:mad:
*** ** * Edit(4) : Can't get flash going - Oh the joy of being a newbie - Only had the FS firmware in a2uploader without the MAIN - not certain if that why flash didn't work - a2uploader had progressbar running but did not do anything. Also, I can only find cid53 flash files and would prefer cid52. The generic SE flash is R1EA034 while Vodafone is R1EA030 - obviously would prefer 34. Lastly I don't have the Gordon's Gate usb drivers loaded but the SE supplied driver - not certain what the effect of that would be. Any help on debranding without destroying internet would be seriously appreciated. In the meantime I'm going to go sit outside in the rain and have a good cry...Update - Flashing didn't work as I didn't connect the phone correctly - Think I'll try phoning Vodafone and saying phone stopped accessing internet after SEUS...Hope they don't look at TopSony themselves...*** ** *

I've used a2uploader for the above - BUT this is my first time attempting something like this so I could be missing something blindingly obvious to the experts.

Any help would be VERY VERY VERY much appreciated !!!
